The real wood A-frames are treated with a satin lacquer to shield them from rain, although occasional lacquer renewal after many years is recommended to maintain the condition of wood frames long-term.

In addition, our metal frames (with real-wood effect) are manufactured from a durable steel frame and feature a weather-resistant (and rust-resistant) powder coating with a wood-like finish. This not only preserves the traditional aesthetic of a wooden Chalkboard A-board but also requires little to no maintenance.

Do you sell A-Frame Chalk Board Signs?

Yes, we have a great range of A-Frame style Chalk Board Signs suitable for a wide range of businesses. Our A-frame Chalk Board Signs consist of two chalkboard panels connected at the top, which can be unfolded to create a robust triangular 'A' frame. A-frame Chalk Board Signs are offered with both traditional wooden frames and contemporary metal frames with wood-effect powder coating. Both options are waterproof and suitable for outdoor and indoor use.

An alternative chalkboard design is the panel board style, which is slotted into a sturdy rubber base for a slightly different take on traditional Chalkboard Signs.

We do not recommend leaving Chalk Board Signs outside during inclement weather or overnight. When left unsupervised they are at risk of damage or theft. Chalk Board Signs are incredibly easy to assemble partly because they are delivered fully assembled (if you purchase an A-Frame style Chalkboard Sign). Our SUREFLEX chalkboard Panel Sign does not get delivered assembled but offers a quick and easy tool-free assembly.

Is liquid chalk writing rainproof?

For Chalkboard Pavement Signs, especially when placed outdoors, we strongly advise using liquid chalk pens. While conventional chalk sticks can be used, it's important to note that if the writing gets exposed to rain, it is susceptible to smudging or being washed away.

Our liquid chalkboard pens are designed to resist rain (rainproof approx. one hour after application) yet they can be conveniently removed with a damp cloth whenever you wish to update your marketing message.

Do you sell wall mounted Outdoor Chalkboards?

Yes, we sell Wall Mounted Outdoor Chalkboards in five sizes. Each blackboard panel has pre-drilled holes (one in each corner) for wall mounting but does not include wall fixings.

The HPL chalk surface is easy to clean and has been awarded the 'Greenguard’ Indoor Air Quality Certification which makes it safe to use in school and educational environments (indoors and outdoors).
