A1 Water Base Sign

Water-base pavement signs are designed to offer sturdy and stable outdoor advertising solutions for all kinds of businesses, including garages, petrol stations, shops, supermarkets and restaurants as well as locations such as forecourts and roadsides.

What advantages does this sign have for displaying your advertising?
The TEMPEST® Pavement Sign has a large A1 size double-sided poster display. It has a snap frame mechanism for easy poster changes. The frame pops easily open and shut meaning it takes just moments to switch out your advertising selection, without the need for tools.

What makes this pavement sign suitable for outdoor use?
This A1 water-base advertising board has a hollow plastic base that should be filled with water or sand to offer stability. The base has inbuilt wheels to make it easy to transport even when weighted. The A1 display attaches to the base via heavy-duty springs which dampen the effects of high winds so your sign remains upright.

The TEMPEST® Water Base Pavement Sign has been designed specifically for use outdoors and has therefore been manufactured using durable materials. The sign is delivered with weatherproof poster covers which help to protect from the elements. In addition, the posters we print are crafted from 180-micron-thick vinyl with a protective lamination making them more durable than standard posters.

How do you assemble this pavement sign?
Assembly instructions will be delivered with your TEMPEST® Water Base Pavement Sign, along with the bolt, washer, and everything required to complete the assembly. This advertising board will be delivered in two separate sections – the poster frame section and water base must then be put together to complete the sign assembly.

Which posters do you need for this pavement sign?
Although this pavement sign is available for purchase as hardware only (without poster displays) we recommend purchasing your personalised poster prints at the same time as your sign. Not only will you save up to 30% on your poster costs when you buy them with the sign, but you will benefit from the quality of our laminated, durable posters. Alternatively, you can choose to purchase posters from us at a later date, or order replacements at any time.

How do you supply artwork for poster printing?
If you already have your artwork ready according to our Artwork Template, you can upload it via our WeTransfer service. A member of our graphics team will check the design and email a PDF proof for approval before printing your design.

1. Using Your Own Artwork
If you have your own artwork, you can upload this during the checkout process or alternatively you can upload via WeTransfer (please include your order number so we can match with your order). Your artwork will automatically go through our Free of Charge artwork checking service and you will automatically receive a visual proof for sign-off. We will never send your artwork to print without consent from you. During this stage our designers will notify you of any concerns they may have with quality or resolution.

The display board I bought was advertised as weather proof and waterproof . It is fairly good quality I would say . However it is not exactly waterproof but water resistant. So water did get in a bit . Not a big deal to me really. But I really appreciate their customer service team who pro-actively call to check whether the purchase and delivery was alright.
They actively follow up the problem despite the fact that I did not complained about it but just mentioned that and did emphasis it is no big issue and is useable .
They came back to me the next day (today) with what they found out and apologise and suggestion of what I could do .
Definitely will use this company again despite the minor issue.

I needed to order a display sign - Whirlwind Pavement Sign A1, I had problems ordering via internet, so placed the order and made payment over the phone very easily, and received a helpful friendly member of staff. My order confirmation was e-mailed to me same day, and the sign arrived next day. The sign is of great quality , it is well made, solid and robust, for my company, which is a builders merchant, this sign is perfect, as it's double sided advertising, manoeuvrable, and weatherproof, with the option of filling with sand or water to stop it being blown away. We purchased the Pavement Signs some years ago for our client and he contacted us recent to say that one of the covers had broken and the other three were looking a bit sad. They are continuously in use. Great value A1 pavement sign - Very strong and durable We've had this swinging A1 pavement display sign outside our shop for three months now have been really impressed with it. It has a really nice satin anodised Aluminium finish and large stable base which you fill with water (or sand if you prefer). It's easy to move around, just drain the water out and it's portable - easy to move around. Perfect for what we wanted and even stood up to the gail force winds that hit the UK back in February 2011! Highly recommended and XL Displays delivered really quickly and at a really low price!
